I've tried verifying game files and clearing cache... Made sure graphics and laptop were up to date,

Tried to drop firewall and run as administrator, but don't know if i did it correctly as I'm not 100% sure. Scanned for viruses and restarted my laptop. But its still the same even reached out to steam and ubisoft to help resolve it. But to no luck

    Hi,

Is the problem occurring with any game or a specific Steam game?

Does it work in other stores like Epic, Ubisoft, or GOG, opening any game?

What is the model of your laptop?

    Thanks

It sounds like you've tried several troubleshooting steps already. Here are a few additional suggestions that might help resolve the issue with launching your games:

    1. Check for Updates: Ensure that both Windows and the Steam client are fully updated. Sometimes, updates can fix compatibility issues.
    2. Enable Developer Mode: If you're encountering issues with game installations or launches, enabling Developer Mode on your PC might help. You can do this by going to Settings > Update & Security > For developers and selecting Developer mode.
    3. Reinstall Gaming Services: If you're using Windows 10 or later, you can try reinstalling the Gaming Runtime Services (GRTS). Open a PowerShell Admin command prompt and execute the following commands:
      • get-appxpackage *gamings*
      • remove-package <package fullname from step 1 for the gaming services package>
      • After that, open the Xbox app and install a game to trigger the installation of the gaming services package from the Microsoft Store.
    4. Check Firewall and Antivirus Settings: Since you've already tried dropping the firewall, ensure that your antivirus software is not blocking Steam or the games. You might need to add exceptions for them.
    5. Run Compatibility Troubleshooter: Right-click on the Steam shortcut, go to Properties, then the Compatibility tab, and run the compatibility troubleshooter.
    6. Check for Corrupted Files: Sometimes, game files can get corrupted. You can try verifying the integrity of game files through Steam again, just to be sure.

If none of these steps work, consider checking the event logs for any specific error messages that might provide more insight into the issue.
