    Hi,

If you received a message saying your account has been locked when signing in, it could be due to activity that may go against Microsoft's Terms of Use. This is typically a security measure to protect your information.

To regain access, please visit the support article below, click the "Sign in" button, and follow the steps provided. Be sure to review the tips included in the article, as they can help improve your chances of successfully recovering your account.

If unsuccessful, you will need to fill out this account recovery form to regain access to your account: https://account.live.com/acsr

Microsoft takes account security seriously, so the recovery process is fully automated to prevent unauthorized access. Complete the form using a device and location you've used before, and make sure to provide an accessible email address.

Microsoft typically reviews recovery requests within 24 hours. If your request is successful, they’ll send instructions to help you recover your account.

You can submit the form up to twice within a 24-hour period, so feel free to include any new details you remember each time until you recover your account.

If your Hotmail account is locked and attempts to recover it via phone number and email have been ineffective, here are some steps you can take:

    1. Wait for Lockout Period: If you have made multiple attempts to recover your account, Microsoft may temporarily lock it for security reasons. This lockout usually lasts about 24 hours. Avoid further attempts during this time to prevent resetting the cooldown.
    2. Use the Account Recovery Form: After the lockout period, try using the Account Recovery Form again. Make sure to provide as much accurate information as possible, such as recent email subjects and contacts you’ve emailed.
    3. Check Security Info: If you can sign in briefly, review your security information under Microsoft Account Security. Remove any unfamiliar phone numbers or emails that may be linked to your account.
    4. Contact Microsoft Support: If you continue to face issues, consider reaching out to Microsoft Support directly. They can assist with account recovery and may have additional tools to verify your identity.
    5. Monitor for Unauthorized Access: If you regain access, check for any unauthorized changes or settings in your account. Secure your account by changing your password and enabling two-factor authentication again.

These steps should help you in regaining access to your locked account.
