Hi, I'm John! I will help you with this.

To help narrow down the issue:

    1. Are you using the Outlook desktop app for Windows, or are you opening Outlook in a web browser?
    2. Is this a personal Outlook/Hotmail account, or a work/school account?
    3. Are you seeing any “Sync” or “Updating” messages at the bottom of Outlook?

    Please also try this:

    • Close Outlook. > Reopen it.
    • Delete one junk email. > Wait 1–2 minutes.
    • Monitor if it comes back.

If the issue persists, please provide more details by answering my questions.

    Regards,

    John J.D.

It sounds like your email messages, including junk mail, are being automatically restored after deletion. This can occur if the messages are part of a conversation thread that Outlook is set to ignore. To resolve this issue, you can try the following steps:

    1. Check for Ignored Conversations:
      • Go to the Deleted Items folder.
      • Select the message that keeps reappearing.
      • On the Home tab, look for the Ignore option in the Delete section. If it is highlighted, that means the conversation is being ignored.
      • Click on Ignore and then select Stop Ignoring Conversation if prompted. This should prevent future messages in that thread from being automatically deleted.
    2. Check Junk Email Settings:
      • Ensure that your Junk Email settings are configured correctly. You can access this by going to the Home tab, selecting Junk, and then Junk E-mail Options. Make sure that the settings align with your preferences for handling junk mail.

If the problem persists, consider checking for any rules that might be affecting how emails are managed in your Outlook setup.
