    Hi dan brooks,
Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum. I'm happy to help.

Your system is probably missing Chipset drivers.

Please download and install Chipset drivers from your laptop or motherboard support page then restart your computer. The High-Performance mode may appear with another name.

If you have trouble finding them, please give me your laptop or motherboard model, I will send you the download link.

    Hi Dan,

The "High performance,” “Ultimate,” and “Power Saver” plans may be missing in systems that support Modern Standby. This is normal. To get the other plans, the only option is to disable the modern standby feature using the "PlatformAoAcOverride" registry setting.

Please see "Alpheta"'s post in this forum: https://www.dell.com/community/en/conversations/inspiron/g5-5590-high-performance-missing/647f97b0f4ccf8a8deab95e5

(Note: Though it was posted in the Dell forum, the information applies to all Windows systems that support modern standby.)

After restarting Windows, run the "powercfg -duplicatescheme" command-line mentioned in the above links.

If the High Performance power option is missing in Windows 11 Pro, it may be due to the power plan settings. The High Performance plan is typically not visible if the Balanced power plan is selected. To enable it, you can try the following steps:

    1. Open the Control Panel and select Power Options. If you don't see it, you can search for "power" in the Control Panel search box.
    2. Click on Change settings that are currently unavailable to enable the option to change power plans.
    3. Look for the High Performance option and select it.

If you still cannot see the High Performance option, it might be necessary to check your system settings or group policies that could be limiting the available power plans. Additionally, if your device is using a specific OEM power plan, it may not show the High Performance option directly.
