I've searched the community posts for an answer to this question but they are all from the middle of 2025.

I need the ability to Flag (with a timeframe) emails when they are sent or received. All of posts just give the excuse that New Outlook is in Preview so not all of the functionality has been implemented. Based on the number of posts I see asking this exact question, this functionality seems to be pretty important for your user base.

When will that functionality be added?

Both Outlook on the Web and the new Outlook support flags.

Currently, the ability to flag emails with a timeframe in the new Outlook for Windows is not available, as the application is still in its preview phase. Microsoft has acknowledged that not all functionalities have been implemented yet, and the feedback from users is being considered for future updates. However, specific timelines for when this feature will be added have not been disclosed in the available documentation.

As the new Outlook continues to evolve, it is expected that more features, including email flagging, will be introduced in subsequent releases. Keep an eye on the release notes for updates regarding new functionalities.
