Hi. I'm David, and I'm happy to help you.

    Please clarify the following:

    • Do you have a third-party antivirus installed? If yes, which one?
    • Does this behavior only occur when trying to install Minecraft, or does it happen when trying to install other apps as well?

Also. What is the version and "OS Build" of your Windows?

    • Press "Windows + R", type winver, and click OK.

If you prefer, share a screenshot. Use the shortcut "Windows + Shift + S" to use the screenshot tool.

Be sure to censor your email address if it appears. The Microsoft Q&A is public.

    I await your reply.

If the Microsoft Store freezes when you attempt to install an app like Minecraft, there are several troubleshooting steps you can try:

    1. Check the Microsoft Store Install Service:
      • Press the Windows Key + S and type in services.msc.
      • Find the Microsoft Store Install Service, double-click it, and ensure it is running. If it is not, set it to Automatic and start the service.
    2. Reset Microsoft Store Settings:
      • Go to Settings > Apps > Installed apps.
      • Locate Microsoft Store, click on the three dots next to it, and select "Advanced options".
      • Choose "Reset" and then restart your computer.
    3. Disable any VPN or Antivirus:
      • If you have a third-party VPN or antivirus software, try temporarily disabling it to see if it resolves the issue.
    4. Re-register Microsoft Store:
      • Open PowerShell as an administrator and run the following command:
             Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}

      • Restart your PC after this.
    5. Check for Windows Updates:
      • Ensure your Windows operating system is up to date, as updates can fix bugs related to the Microsoft Store.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, you may want to consider reinstalling the Microsoft Store or seeking additional support from Microsoft.
