Welcome to the Microsoft Q&A forum.
Microsoft Family Safety uses two separate controls:
- Family group membership
- Parental consent on the Microsoft account
If a child account is removed from the family group but parental consent is still active, web restrictions (such as blocked access to Google or other sites) can continue to apply even though the profile no longer appears in the Family Safety app.
Have the parent who originally gave consent sign in and remove it here (this works even if the Family Safety site is unavailable):
- Go to Manage parental consent
- Select the child account and choose Remove consent
- If the child account does not appear, consent may have been granted using a different adult Microsoft account. Only that account can revoke it.
After consent is removed, refresh the device to clear any leftover restrictions:
- Press Windows + R, type
cmdand select OK - Run
schtasks /run /tn "Microsoft\Windows\Shell\FamilySafetyRefreshTask" - Restart the PC
If the account birthdate indicates under the local age threshold, restrictions may automatically apply.
- Confirm the birthdate is correct in the Microsoft account profile
- If needed, update it using the official age‑correction process
