Hello!

We have made a Bing map using Excel, with the aim of using it in a research publication.

We understand from the journal we are looking to submit to that we require a signed consent from the map owner (in this case Microsoft/Bing?). Therefore, I would like to know to facilitate this.

I look forward to your support.

Have a nice day!

I think that bing tiles don’t use per‑img perms… it’s all thru the maps TOU. just keep the attrib MS lists and it’s the only flow that stays sane across org perms + Excel builds.

To use a Bing map generated in Excel for a journal publication, you will indeed need to obtain the necessary permissions from Microsoft/Bing. The best approach is to contact Microsoft directly to request consent for using their map in your publication. You can typically find contact information or support options on the official Microsoft or Bing websites.

Additionally, ensure you provide details about how you intend to use the map and any specific requirements the journal has regarding the consent form. This will help expedite the process.

If you have any further questions or need assistance with the process, feel free to ask!
