You cannot use a Pro key on a Home edition install.
You said you had a Home license from Newegg, is it a brand new purchase, or a re-use of the key that used to work?

I recently installed Windows 11 Home on a new PC. I used my Windows 10 Pro product key during the installation. Now I am having trouble with Windows activation. I have entered my Windows 10 Pro product key and that failed. I entered the Window 11 Home key, from the package that I recently received from Newegg and used to install Windows, and that key failed as well.

Does it show the product keys as Windows 10/11 Home or Pro (depending which key you check) and show OEM or retail.
Be sure neither keys are generic keys shown in this list. Generic key - TenForums these cannot be used to activate windows without a valid licence.

2026-02-22T18:54:06.35+00:00 That's good news as the licence is a full Pro edition. (and I assume does not appear on the generic list)
So you have Pro edition installed now but not activated is that correct?
If that is the case and entering your product key again at Change product key in Settings does not change that you will need to contact Microsoft Support directly. (during the coming week and in office hours will be best)
Use the Get Help app in windows and enter chat with an agent then select Contact Support.
