An application or feature powered by Windows Copilot to assist users with tasks and productivity
Hi Jim,
I checked this behavior in the Copilot mobile app and confirmed that this is expected functionality, not a settings or version issue.
In the Copilot app, chat and voice operate as two separate modes. When the microphone is selected, the app switches entirely to voice mode, which replaces the chat view. At this time, there is no option or setting that allows users to keep the chat visible while having a live voice conversation.
This is a current limitation of the Copilot mobile app UI and applies regardless of app version or device. Once the voice interaction ends, the conversation may appear in chat history depending on the account and app behavior, but simultaneous chat visibility during voice is not supported.
In short, the app is working as designed, and there is no workaround on mobile to enable chat and live voice at the same time.
