excel file from windows 10

I transferred my files from my desktop that had Windows 10 on it to a new computer that has Windows 11 was on. My excel file that i am trying to open will not fully open.

    Hi, I'm John! I will help you with this.

    To help narrow down the issue:

    1. What happens when you open the Excel file? Does it show an error? Freeze? Or open blank?
    2. How did you transfer the file? USB drive, external hard drive, cloud (OneDrive), or email?
    3. Can you open other Excel files on this new PC, or only this one?

    In the meantime, if you haven’t already:

    Please also try this:

    • Right-click the file > Select Open with > Excel > See if it opens fully

    Then try:

    • Open Excel first > Click File > Open > Browse
    • Select the file > Click the small arrow beside Open > Choose Open and Repair
