You can use the Windows 11 Installation Assistant at Download Windows 11 - Microsoft if your hardware is supported for Windows 11.

    Hello John Sloane,

Thanks for posting your question to the Q&A forum.

I see you want to update your Windows 11 Pro version 22H2 since it's no longer supported. Here's how you can do that:

    Method 1: Check for updates

    1. Go to Settings > Windows Update
    2. Turn on Get the latest updates as soon as they’re available
    3. Click Check for updates
    4. If 23H2 or 24H2 appears, select Download and install

If you see a message like This update isn’t ready for your device yet, it’s usually due to:

    • Incompatible drivers (audio, camera, storage, etc.)
    • Known safeguard holds, especially for 24H2

In this case, install 23H2 first, then upgrade to 24H2 later once the block is lifted.

Method 2: If no updates are offered

Use the Windows 11 Installation Assistant (in-place upgrade) from Microsoft’s website. This is a supported manual upgrade path for out‑of‑servicing versions and keeps your files, apps, and settings.

    Before starting, make sure:

    • You’re signed in with an administrator account
    • You have 20–25 GB of free disk space
    • You have a stable internet connection
    • Your laptop is plugged into power

After downloading, double‑click Windows11InstallationAssistant.exe to run the tool and let the upgrade complete. Do not shut down or restart the PC during this process.

Hope this helps. Please let me know how it goes or if you need further clarification!
