Please make sure you’re signing in with the exact Microsoft account that was used to purchase the Microsoft 365 subscription.
On your browser, go to https://account.microsoft.com/services
Then sign in. Check if your Microsoft 365 subscription shows as Active there.
If it does not appear, you may be signed in with a different account. Try any other email addresses you may have used for the purchase.
If the subscription is active online but still not recognized on your Mac, sign out of all Office apps (Excel, Word, etc.), restart your Mac, then sign back in.
