I uninstalled office home and student 2007 from my old computer so I could install it on my new computer. I don't have the installation disc and it doesn't appear in my Microsoft account. How can I install it?

    Hi Sam Flack

Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum and thank you for your question.

Office Home & Student 2007 is an older, out-of-support product, and it usually won’t show in a Microsoft account because account-based installs/redemption came later. To install Office 2007 you typically need both:

    1. The original installation media (CD/DVD or an ISO copy of it)
    2. The 25‑character product key that came with that copy.

Unfortunately, if you don’t have the installation media, you typically can’t re-add Office 2007 to your account for download, and you may not be able to reinstall it.

I would highly recommend updating to Office 2024 or Microsoft 365. For your reference: How do I upgrade Office?

I hope my answer helps, please feel free to let me know if you need any further assistance.

To install Office Home and Student 2007 on your new computer without the installation disc, you have a couple of options:

    1. Check for a Digital Copy: Sometimes, older versions of Office may be available for download if you registered them with a Microsoft account. Since you mentioned it doesn't appear in your account, this may not be an option.
    2. Contact Microsoft Support: If you have the product key for Office 2007, you can contact Microsoft Support for assistance. They may be able to provide you with a download link or further instructions on how to proceed.
    3. Purchase a New License: If you cannot retrieve your original installation, you might consider purchasing a new version of Office, as Office 2007 is quite outdated and may not be compatible with newer operating systems.
    4. Use Phone Activation: If you have a legitimate copy and are facing issues with installation, you might try phone activation. You can find the appropriate number for your region from the Microsoft support site.

Make sure to keep your product key safe for future installations.
