Microsoft is charging me $45 month (recently increased from $28 without any authority from me) for an account which I do not / cannot use or access and despite trying numerous times cannot cancel and go round and round in circles, as you cannot ring a person to get any assistance. The bank cannot cancel the direct debit either.

    Thank you for your reply.

If the subscription is already canceled and there is no billing history,

one possibility is that multiple Microsoft accounts may have been created.

If you are certain that you have not created any other Microsoft accounts,

another possibility is a scam impersonating Microsoft or unauthorized use of your credit card.

Please contact your card issuer and clearly explain that the charge is not related to your Microsoft account.

Ask them to investigate the unauthorized transaction.

They may stop the payment or cancel the card as part of the resolution.

The option suggested by your bank is to cancel the credit card.

The following troubleshooting steps may also be helpful.

    Hello,

Please sign in with the Microsoft account you used to purchase the subscription.

You can do so from the link below.

Find your subscription and select “Manage.”
