    Hello landon1431,

To add to the answer above — once the family organizer is ready to make the change, here is exactly where to go and what to adjust. The setting can be accessed through the standard Microsoft account page:

    1. Sign in at https://account.microsoft.com/family with the family organizer's Microsoft account.
    2. Select the child's account tile.
    3. Go to Privacy & Online Safety > look for "You can join multiplayer games" and set it to Allow.
    4. Click Submit, then have the child sign out and back in on their device.

Alternatively, this can also be done through https://account.xbox.com/settings or the Microsoft Family Safety app.

If you are unable to play online due to parental controls, it's likely that your account is set up as a child account or has restrictions applied by a family organizer (parent or guardian). As the sole creator of the account, you may still be subject to these restrictions if the account is classified as a child account.

To resolve this issue, you can try the following steps:

    1. Check Account Type: Verify if your account is set as a child account. If it is, you will need to have a parent or guardian adjust the parental controls.
    2. Request an Override: If you are blocked from certain activities, you can request an exception through the system UI, which will notify the family organizer to approve the request for specific activities like multiplayer gaming.
    3. Contact Family Organizer: If you have a family organizer, reach out to them to discuss the restrictions and see if they can modify the settings for your account.

Unfortunately, if you are unable to change these settings yourself, you will need to work with the family organizer to gain access to online gaming features.
