I have created a new alias about a week ago and made it primary.

I deleted the original email.

I posed this question just a few minutes ago and was told to go to OD settings | Notifications and verify that the proper email is chosen. when I went there, the only options I could see or change were the types on notification I would accept. There was no place to change or verify the notification email address. So, I rejected the answer.

What should I do now?

    Hello Dave Robinson,

Thank you for reaching out in the Microsoft Q&A forum.

I understand how confusing this feels since OneDrive doesn’t provide any place to choose a “notification email” inside its settings.

For OneDrive personal, the email used for notifications (including “On This Day”) always follows your Microsoft account’s primary alias, not anything inside OneDrive itself. Since you already created a new alias, made it primary, and deleted the old one, the change is correct, it just takes time to propagate across all Microsoft services. Microsoft documentation and other users note that this can take up to 24–48 hours for all services to fully switch over.

There is no separate OneDrive notification‑email setting, so there’s nothing else to update in OneDrive.

What you should do now is just wait for propagation to finish. Once all Microsoft systems finish updating, your OneDrive notifications will start going to the new primary alias automatically.
