Hello,

I am trying to contact microsoft. I have an old email that I know the user name but I made when I was around 12-14 ( I am now 34). I do not remember the password and the phone number it is attached to is no longer active. I know what one of the old passwords might have been and I know the emails that where in there in 2006-2007. I'm trying to recover some old emails in there from a deceased friend and would really appreciate it if I could get back into this account. I also have some emails from my deceased grandma that I would like to recover. If anyone could please contact me or help me that would be great.

Alex

To recover your old email account, you will need to follow the official Microsoft account recovery process. Since you do not remember the password and the phone number associated with the account is no longer active, you may face challenges. However, here are some steps you can take:

    1. Use the Microsoft Account Recovery Form: Go to the Microsoft account recovery page and fill out the form. Provide as much information as possible, including any old passwords you remember and details about the emails you had in the account.
    2. Check for Recovery Options: If you have access to any recovery email addresses or security questions that you set up when creating the account, make sure to use those options during the recovery process.
    3. Provide Proof of Identity: If you are unable to recover the account through the standard methods, you may need to contact Microsoft Support directly. Be prepared to provide any information that proves your identity and ownership of the account, such as details about emails or contacts associated with the account.
    4. Understand Account Deletion Policies: Keep in mind that Microsoft may permanently delete accounts that have not been accessed for a long time (typically after two years). If your account has been inactive for this period, it may not be recoverable.

Unfortunately, if the account has been permanently deleted, there may be no way to recover it, even through Microsoft support.
