Hello

I am writing to request help recovering my original Microsoft account.

Recently, when I try to access a game through Xbox Game Pass , I received a message saying that my account needed verification due to suspicious activity. I was instructed to reset my password through the Microsoft account page.

I followed the password reset process using my primary and only email address. However, after completing the reset, it appears that a completely new profile was created. My original xbox profile (including my gamertag and active Game Pass subscription) is no longer accessible.

When I sign in now, I only see a newly created empty profile with no subscription history. My original Game Pass subscription and Xbox data seem to be missing.

I have only ever used this one email address for my Microsoft/Xbox account. I did not intentionally create a new account.

please help me

  1. Locate my original Microsoft/Xbox account
  2. Restore access to my previous Xbox profile and Game Pass subscription.
  3. ensure that I am not being charged for a subscription I cannot access.

I can provide payment method information, or any other verification needed.

Thank you very much for your assistance.

To recover your original Microsoft/Xbox account after a password reset that seems to have created a new profile, you should follow these steps:

    1. Account Recovery: Use the official Microsoft account recovery form to verify your identity and regain access to your original account. You can provide any relevant information such as payment methods, previous passwords, or other details that can help prove your ownership.
    2. Contact Support: If the recovery form does not work, consider reaching out to Microsoft Support directly. They can assist you in locating your original account and restoring access to your Xbox profile and Game Pass subscription. You can find the support contact options on the Microsoft website.
    3. Check for Multiple Accounts: Sometimes, users may have multiple accounts associated with the same email. Ensure that you are logging in with the correct credentials and check if there are any other accounts linked to your email.
    4. Monitor Subscription Charges: Keep an eye on your payment methods to ensure that you are not being charged for the new account. If you notice any discrepancies, report them to Microsoft Support immediately.

By following these steps, you should be able to recover your original account and restore access to your previous Xbox profile and Game Pass subscription.
