Hello Andrei Popi
Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A Forum. I understand how stressful it is when the attacker changed the email/sign‑in name and Microsoft now says it doesn’t recognize your email. In that case, it usually means the sign‑in alias was changed or removed.
Here's what you should try next:
1. Make sure you’re using the correct sign‑in name
If you've ever had aliases (for example, Hotmail + Outlook address on the same account), you can sign in with any alias.
Please try this official flow: Forgotten your Microsoft account username - Microsoft Support
Double‑check the exact spelling and domain (e.g., @hotmail.com vs @outlook.com) before retrying.
2. Submit the Account Recovery Form (ACSR)
When you don’t recognize the security info and the sign‑in name has changed, please try to fill out the Account Recovery Form (ACSR):
- Go to: https://account.live.com/acsr
- Enter your original email and an alternate email where Microsoft can contact you.
- Provide as many accurate details as possible, such as old passwords, frequent contacts/subject lines and submit from a familiar device/location.
- Wait 24–72 hours for a response. You may refine and resubmit up to twice per day.
- Please see this official guide to help you fill out the form more accurately: Help with the Microsoft account recovery form - Microsoft Support
Please kindly note that this is a public community forum, I do not have the ability, tools to unblock, recover accounts or bypass security. Only Microsoft’s official recovery process can restore access.
I truly appreciate your time and understanding. Please feel free to let me know how it goes or if you need contact support.
