Locked out of Production Azure Tenant — Only Global Admin, GoDaddy Federation Deleted

Hello Microsoft Support,

I am the owner of the domain PII.com and the only Global Administrator of a production Azure tenant originally provisioned via GoDaddy.

Here is the situation:

  1. The GoDaddy Microsoft 365 subscription for PII.com has been deleted.

I cannot log in to my Azure tenant — all login attempts redirect to GoDaddy or fail.

Attempts to use the .onmicrosoft.com account or portal recovery links do not work — I am either blocked or redirected to trial signup pages.

I own the domain and can verify ownership via DNS.

This is a production environment, so access must be restored safely without creating a new tenant.

Request: I need to regain Global Admin access to my existing Azure tenant. Specifically:

Verification of domain ownership via DNS

Creation of a new Global Admin account in the existing tenant

Optionally, guidance to convert the domain from federated → managed authentication to allow direct login

Due to the GoDaddy subscription being deleted, I cannot use any self-service recovery tools. This is time-sensitive because it is a production environment.

Please escalate this request to the Tenant Admin Recovery / Data Protection team so I can regain access safely.

Thank you for your help.

    Hello Hamp Boykin

The issue pertains to a tenant lockout, where no other global admin in the tenant has the necessary permissions to login and make changes in your tenant.

To resolve this, we have engaged our Data Protection team through a support ticket. They will reach out to you via email or phone to help restore access to the tenant and assist in resolving the issue.
