How to create MS Intune account , separate that the existing one for my company

We already have an existing MS account connected to all company‑wide products and user access. However, for testing purposes , especially for MS Intune that we did not use now  , we now need a separate, independent account.

Access to Intune is required during development and testing, and it would be great if we could start using it as soon as possible. For this purpose, it would be best to create a fresh new .ch account dedicated only to this use case.

We prefer not to link it to our existing company account to avoid any potential conflicts.

I would appreciate your guidance on the following:

  • Should this account be created through the partner channel,
  • or can we set it up independently? If independent setup is possible, a brief set of instructions would be very helpful.
  • Is there an option to start with a trial period? Our goal is to activate this immediately and begin using it.

The account will be needed for 2–3 users who require access for testing, with an expected duration of at least six months, potentially up to 12–24 months.

Thank you in advance for your support and guidance.

To create a separate Microsoft Intune account that is independent from your existing company account, you can follow these steps:

    1. Sign Up for a New Account: You can create a new Microsoft account for Intune independently. Go to the Microsoft Intune sign-up page and select the option to set up a new account. Be aware that you cannot combine this new account with your existing work or school account.
    2. Trial Period: Microsoft offers a free trial for Intune that lasts for 30 days. This can be beneficial for your testing purposes. You can sign up for the trial during the account creation process.
    3. Account Creation Steps: Here’s a brief overview of the steps to create a new account:
      • Go to the Microsoft Intune sign-up page.
      • Enter your email address and select Next.
      • Choose Set up account to create a new account.
      • Fill in your details such as name, phone number, and company information.
      • Verify your phone number by entering the verification code sent to you.
    4. User Access: Once the account is created, you can assign licenses to the users who need access for testing. Each user will need their own account to access Intune.
    5. Duration: Since you mentioned that the account will be needed for 2-3 users for at least six months, you can continue using the trial and then decide to convert it to a paid subscription if necessary.

You do not need to create this account through a partner channel unless you prefer to do so for additional support or resources.
