Welcome to the Microsoft Q&A Forum!
I’m really sorry you’re dealing with this. It’s incredibly frustrating when you’ve paid for the game and can’t even get the launcher to install, but these steps have helped many players with the same errors and are worth trying.
- Reset the Microsoft Store
A corrupted Microsoft Store cache can prevent the Minecraft Launcher from installing correctly. Resetting the Store forces Windows to rebuild its internal files, which often resolves installation failures.
- Press Windows + R
- Type
WSReset> Press Enter - A blank window will appear and close automatically
- Restart your PC and try installing Minecraft again
- Fix your date and time settings
Incorrect system time can break Microsoft Store and Xbox App licensing checks, which leads to errors such as 0x80070002 and 0x87E00033.
- Open Settings → Time & Language
- Turn on Set time automatically
- Turn on Set time zone automatically
- Restart your PC
- Reinstall Gaming Services
If Gaming Services is damaged, the Launcher often cannot install or launch correctly. Reinstalling it fixes missing or corrupted components that cause these errors.
- Right‑click Start → Windows Terminal (Admin)
- Run the following commands:
get-appxpackage Microsoft.GamingServices | remove-AppxPackage -allusers
start ms-windows-store://pdp/?productid=9MWPM2CQNLHN
- Reinstall Gaming Services in the Microsoft Store when it opens
- Restart your PC
Hope this helps. Feel free to update here if there's any progress!
