To regain access to your Global Administrator account after being locked out due to the loss of access to the Microsoft Authenticator app, you have a couple of options:
- Contact Microsoft Data Protection Support: Since you are the only Global Administrator, you can reach out to Microsoft Customer Service by phone. During the call, explain that you are locked out and need assistance to reset your MFA. Make sure to provide all relevant details about your account.
- Create a Temporary Account: If you're unable to reach a live agent, consider signing up for a trial subscription to create a new tenant. Once set up, you can access the admin console of the new tenant and submit a support ticket requesting to speak with the Data Protection team on behalf of your previous tenant.
These steps should help you recover access to your account and reset your MFA methods.
