I deleted files in my one drive online account and emptied the recycle bin. The links to the deleted files persist in the in the home tab/folder. How do I get rid of them? One drive is not syncing with my PC.

    Hello

When you said Home Tab, do you mean when you first log into www.onedrive.com?

If so, that page serves as history/record list of recent files. It is not the place for "actual files". Just like in Windows File Explorer, your recent files list can still list the files you recently viewed, even if the actual file is already deleted.

Unfortunately there's currently no settings available to clear this list. As you continue to open new files, old ones will cycle out of the list.

To remove the links to files that have been deleted from your OneDrive online account, you may need to refresh or clear the cache of your OneDrive view. If the links persist even after you have deleted the files and emptied the recycle bin, it could be due to a caching issue or a delay in the interface updating.

Here are some steps you can try:

    1. Refresh the Page: Sometimes simply refreshing the OneDrive page can help update the view and remove any lingering links to deleted files.
    2. Clear Browser Cache: If refreshing doesn't work, try clearing your browser's cache and cookies. This can help eliminate any stored data that might be causing the issue.
    3. Log Out and Log Back In: Logging out of your OneDrive account and then logging back in can also refresh your session and update the view.
    4. Check for Sync Issues: Since you mentioned that OneDrive is not syncing with your PC, ensure that there are no sync issues that might be affecting the online view. You can check the sync status in the OneDrive settings on your PC.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, you may want to reach out to Microsoft support for further assistance.
