Email address got deleted after being hacked, cannot access to other accounts via the old email address

My email account was recently hacked. Although recovered and gained back control, my email address was changed (deleted) to a new one, and I have no method on recovering my old email address (Microsoft said it is protected).

The problem is now I cannot access to the other accounts (e.g.: Discord) under the same email address, since I cannot receive a verification email sent to that address (as it is deleted). What should I do? More information about the situation right now:

  1. Yes I got the email back, changed password, set up authentication to prevent being hacked a second time.
  2. The old email address is deleted (say originally it is [Moderator Note: Personal Info Removed]@hotmail.com, and now it is [Moderator Note: Personal Info Removed]@outlook.com), and I cannot figure a way to recover it
  3. I tried contacting the local support by calling them on a phone, but all I received are AI voice responses and nothing useful

    Hi Yu Frozen,

Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A forum.

Please note that our forum is a public platform, and we will modify your question to hide your personal information in the description. Kindly ensure that you hide any personal or organizational information the next time you post an error or other details to protect personal data.

I’m very sorry that you are dealing with a security incident like this. Losing access to your old email after it was compromised can understandably make you feel stuck and overwhelmed

Since the old email address has been deleted and can no longer receive verification codes, please create a new alias (a new email address) on your current Microsoft account to use long‑term.

Then, update the registered/recovery email on other services (for example, Discord) to this new email address, as the old address can no longer be used for verification.

To get the right and secure assistance, please contact Microsoft Support directly using the official steps below:

    • Visit: Contact Microsoft Support
    • Search for “Live chat” in the search box.
    • Click “Get Help” and press Enter.
    • Sign in with another Microsoft account (create one if needed) to proceed.
    • Navigate to “Contact Support.”
    • For product/service, select “Other Products.”
    • For category, choose “Billing and Account Profile questions.”
    • Look for and select “Chat with a support agent in your web browser” or a similar callback option.
    • Clearly explain your situation.

Please note that this is a user-to-user support forum.
