When I stop the advertising on my Bluetooth LE server, the AdvertisementStatus of that service doesn't change to "Stopped".

I start advertising a service with the GattServiceProvider and everything works fine. Before I start it, the GattServiceProviderAdvertisementStatus is set to Created which is ok, and after I start the service it’s set to Started.

But when I stop the advertisement of my service, the AdvertisementStatus is not changed to Stopped, it stays on Started.

It stops the service fine, but the value of the AdvertisementStatus is not changed to Stopped.

@Simon Bradette , Doe this issue happens to all the BLE devices that you have? Or it happens only on that specific device? Another thing is that have you tested the official sample here: BluetoothLE Sample? In scenario 3, will you get the same behavior when you are checking the GattServiceProviderAdvertisementStatus property?

I get the same behavior in the scenario 3, when the server stops advertising, the AdvertisementStatus is not set to Stopped, it stays on Started. And after that the serviceProvider is equalled to null. I want to keep my serviceProvider on Stopped.

OK, it's an interesting behavior. I'll consult the Bluetooth team to check whether this behavior is expected. There might be some time delay.

@Anonymous I just tested with a delay of 10 seconds right after the serviceProvider stopped advertising and the AdvertisementStatus of the serviceProvider still doesn't change. I would only collect the traces from the example directly from Microsoft.. I don't think the problem is in the Bluetooth exchange, it looks like the AdvertisementStatus is simply not updated when we use the StopAdvertising method from the serviceProvider.

Yes, since you could reproduce this issue from the official sample, please collect the traces from the sample. Then you could share it with us via OneDrive or Github. So that the team could check what happened during the process and figure out the reason for this behavior.
