Hi,

My account (******@live.com) has been locked for almost 2 months, I am able to recover it, change to a new password, but when I tried signing back in, it says locked account. I already sent mail to microsoft customer service with reference number SIR22662080.

Also, if the account is locked, how about the ongoing subscription? please help. Thanks

Hey there! Nice to meet you!

Since you are unable to sign in despite a successful password reset, this indicates that your account is temporarily blocked due to the system detecting unusual activity.

It is also possible that the account lock keeps resetting during those 2 months.

You will need to perform these steps to resolve this error:

    1. Perform a password reset/request an account recovery using different devices and network services.
    2. If it doesn't work, wait exactly 48 hours to request another account recovery/password reset.

Important: Please make sure not to attempt to sign in or reset the password within that timeframe (48 hours), as this may reset the lock cooldown.

You may check this link regarding account blocks for reference: https://support.microsoft.com/account-billing/troubleshooting-verification-code-issues-409090c4-92b5-42b9-8ae6-bcc97e62fc48#:~:text=If%20you%20received%20a%20Microsoft%20verification%20code%20that%20you%20did#:~:text=If%20you%20received%20a%20Microsoft%20verification%20code%20that%20you%20did

Unfortunately, the subscription duration is still ongoing while the account is still locked.

Thank you for your understanding! Please feel free to let me know if you need anything else.

    Best regards,

    Darhyl
