Hi Brett Howard,
Thanks for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A Forum. I understand that your Aesonic speakers no longer produce sound on your Windows PC, even though they still work correctly on your laptop.
Please make sure you already tried the Q&A Assist steps. In addition, please try the following.
Before proceeding, I would like to narrow this down a bit:
1, Which Windows version are you currently using (Windows 10 or Windows 11)?
2, When audio is playing, do you see the sound level bar moving for the selected output device?
In the meantime, you can try these steps:
1, Check app‑specific volume settings
- Right‑click the speaker icon on the taskbar and open Volume mixer
- Confirm the affected app is not muted and is using the correct output device
2, Disable audio enhancements
- Open Sound settings and select your active output device
- Open device properties and turn off any audio enhancements
3, Check exclusive mode settings
- Open Sound settings and select your speakers
- Open advanced sound settings and disable exclusive mode options
4, Verify default audio format
- Open Sound settings and select the speakers
- Open advanced settings and set the format to a standard option such as 16 bit, 44100 Hz
5, Test sound in Windows system sounds
- Open Sound settings and use the Test option
- Confirm whether system sounds play through the speakers
6, Check BIOS or UEFI audio status
- Restart the PC and enter BIOS or UEFI setup
- Confirm onboard audio is enabled
