"Secondary work account cached in OneDrive Android on Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra—not visible in profile/switcher, causes file redirection to wrong account despite clear data/sign-outs."

I have exhausted M365 and Grok in trying to solve this and have spent around 8 hours over two days working on it.

How can I completely remove residual "business" OneDrive account, and then allow MS Apps like Excel and OneNote to again work on my Samsung S25 Ultra.

Microsoft & Samsung need to solve this !

    Hi @Mike Veit

Thank you for posting your question in the Q&A Forum.

I understand how frustrating this has been, especially after trying so many different steps.

Based on what you’ve described, this no longer appears to be a simple OneDrive app issue. When the behavior continues across multiple Microsoft apps even after reinstalling, it often indicates that the account may still be stored at the device level rather than only within the app.

To make sure we focus on the correct layer and avoid repeating anything you’ve already done, could you please confirm the following:

    • Does the account still appear under your phone’s main Settings > Accounts section?
    • On your S25 Ultra, could you check Settings > Samsung Account (top) > Linked services?
    • Was this device ever set up with a Work Profile or the Company Portal app in the past?

Your answers will help determine whether this is related to local identity storage on the device or whether the account was previously registered in a managed environment.

Once I have that information, I’ll guide you to the most appropriate next step.
