As far as I can see this problem has been flagged before, however the indicated solution does not work on my outlook for mac. I am using a Mac Book running the Tahoe 26.3 version. The outlook version is 16.106. Would be great if someone could help me solve this problem which I didnt have before and is unnecessary.

Thank you [Moderator note: personal info removed].

    Hi @Isabel Hostettler

Thank you for posting question to Microsoft Q&A forum.

To assist you better, I will need more information.

May I ask if you are using Exchange, IMAP or POP account?

Please also provide your Outlook version (you can check this in Outlook > About Outlook)

If you are using Exchange, please check in outlook.office.com, check if that specific email is in Sent folder or in Drafts folder?

If you are using IMAP, please do the same with your provider webmail.

If you switch to New Outlook (just for testing), does it behave the same as Legacy Outlook?

Have you tried remove and re-add account?

If yes and that doesn't work, try remove the entire profile. This removes the local database only; it does not delete mail from the server. But if you are using POP, make sure you back up the data first.

First, quit Outlook completely (Command +Q) > Go to Finder > in Go tab, choose Go to Folder and paste this ~/Library/Group Containers/UBF8T346G9.Office/Outlook.

Inside the Outlook folder, you will see Outlook 15 Profiles, double click it and delete Main Profile folder.

Now restart Outlook and add your accounts again.

Please try and provide more information so I can give clearer instructions.

If sent messages are still appearing as drafts in Outlook for Mac, it could be due to a few reasons. One common issue is related to the PR_DISPLAY_TO property not being cleared when the last recipient is removed from the message's recipient table. This can cause the message entry to still display the names of recipients even after the message has been sent.

To address this issue, you can try the following workaround:

    1. Open the draft message that is showing as still in the Drafts folder.
    2. Add at least one intended recipient back into the To field.
    3. Save the message again. This action should reset the view and update the PR_DISPLAY_TO property, which may resolve the issue.

If this does not resolve the problem, you may want to check for any updates to your Outlook version or consider reaching out to Microsoft support for further assistance.
