Hi. I'm David, and I'm happy to help you.

    Please clarify the following:

Is the microphone internal or external?

If it is external, does the microphone have a standard audio connector (Jack connector) or a USB connector, or is it connected via Bluetooth?

Also, share a screenshot of your system information.

    • Press "Windows + R", type msinfo32 and press Enter.

Maximize the window and use the shortcut "Windows + Shift + S" to use the screenshot tool.

    I await your reply.

You can install the microphone/audio driver for your system model from your device manufacturers website.

If there is no input device for sound (microphone) listed in your settings, it could be due to several reasons. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issue:

    1. Check Device Manager: Open Device Manager and ensure that audio drivers are installed and functioning properly. If there are any issues, you may need to update or reinstall the audio drivers.
    2. Enable Microphone: Sometimes, the microphone might be disabled. Go to Settings > Privacy > Microphone and ensure that access to the microphone is allowed for apps.
    3. Check Physical Connections: If you are using an external microphone, make sure it is properly connected to your computer. If it's a USB microphone, try plugging it into a different USB port.
    4. Run Troubleshooter: You can run the audio troubleshooter by going to Settings > System > Troubleshoot > Other troubleshooters and selecting the audio troubleshooter.
    5. Check for Windows Updates: Ensure that your Windows is up to date, as updates may include necessary drivers for your audio devices.
    6. Restart Your Computer: Sometimes, simply restarting your computer can resolve hardware detection issues.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, you may need to consult your device manufacturer's support for further assistance.
