Switch Azure AD domain on Azure AD Joined PC but keep same local profile

Hello,

We have a company that has two separate domains under one tenant, A and B. Eventually the users on A will move to B and A will seperate. The users though are using windows 10 Azure Joined PCs. They log in using their domain A addresses. If they login with their new domain B addresses will they lose their current local profile or can they keep working as normal?

Logon to the new domain once then logon to the pc with another account that has local administrative rights, navigate to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList

find the new profile, and point the Reg_Expand_Sz string named ProfileImagePath to the old domain profile.
