I started having problems back in Oct when I was setting up a new laptop. I put my laptop top away. And didn't get it back out until tonight. When I first opened it everything was fine. I started to have a friend log me out of hoping it would fix all my network issues. Well she opened it and somehow she got in. I asked how she did that for i hadn't given her the code. She said she got in the back way. I don't know what that is. But I didn't like it. I looked at my laptop screen. It seemed to me something was being downloaded. I asked her what was she doing. She said it was updating. When ever it was doing was done. I looked it . It gave a message saying last updated four hours ago. Apparently it wasn't as she said updating. What is going on with my internet? Why when connected to my internet it says can not connect to wifi? I can not connect to my cameras my securitysystem. Is a attacker doing this? Is she? I need to know my account is secure. I need to know what is going on. Can you please help?

To secure your accounts and ensure that you are the only one accessing them, consider the following steps:

    1. Change Your Passwords: Immediately change the passwords for your accounts, especially if you suspect unauthorized access. Use strong, unique passwords for each account.
    2. Enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA): This adds an extra layer of security by requiring a second form of verification, such as a text message or an authentication app, in addition to your password.
    3. Check Account Activity: Review your account activity for any unauthorized changes or logins. Most services provide a way to view recent activity.
    4. Secure Your Devices: Ensure that your laptop and any other devices are secure. Run antivirus scans and keep your operating system and software updated to protect against vulnerabilities.
    5. Network Security: Check your home network settings. Ensure that your Wi-Fi is secured with a strong password and consider changing it if you suspect unauthorized access. You may also want to reset your router to factory settings and set it up again.
    6. Monitor Your Accounts: Keep an eye on your accounts for any suspicious activity. If you notice anything unusual, take action immediately.
    7. Educate Yourself on Security Practices: Familiarize yourself with common security threats and best practices to avoid falling victim to them in the future.

If you continue to experience issues with your internet connection or suspect that someone may be accessing your accounts without permission, consider reaching out to a professional for assistance.
