Sorry to hear you're having trouble.

I'm afraid that Edge does not natively support TIFF files. However, you may be able to install a TIFF Viewer extension that can translate the file into Edge for you.

If you are experiencing issues with opening TIF files in Microsoft Edge, it may be related to a security feature that blocks certain file types. The error message you are encountering could indicate that the TIF file is being treated as potentially harmful, which is a common security measure in Windows.

To resolve this issue, you can try the following steps:

    1. Check File Properties: Right-click on the TIF file, select Properties, and see if there is an option to unblock the file. If there is, check it and apply the changes.
    2. Move the File: Move the TIF file to a known folder (like C:\SnapsExport) and try accessing it from there.
    3. Use PowerShell: If the file is still blocked, you can use PowerShell to remove the Mark of the Web (MOTW) from the file. Open PowerShell as Administrator and run the command to unblock the file.
    4. Open with Another Application: If Edge continues to have issues, consider using another application that supports TIF files, such as Windows Photo Viewer or a dedicated image viewer.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, it may be beneficial to check for updates to Microsoft Edge and Windows, as these updates can sometimes fix compatibility issues with file types.
