A PC equipped with advanced AI capabilities and Windows Copilot integration
Hi @perry langenberg,
Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum.
I’m sorry to hear that the "Rewrite with Copilot" feature is giving you trouble. To help me narrow down whether this is a localized browser glitch, a synchronization error, or a broader service issue, could you please provide a bit more detail?
- Does the blank box appear on every website where you try to use Rewrite (e.g., Gmail, Outlook web, or random text fields), or is it limited to a specific site?
- Are you signed into Edge with a Personal Microsoft account or a Work/School account? (This helps us check if there are specific enterprise policies at play).
- Do you have any adblockers or privacy-focused extensions active? Sometimes these can inadvertently block the scripts needed to render the Copilot interface.
- Aside from the blank box, do you see any small icons (like a "refresh" symbol or a "sign-in" prompt) inside or near that area?
- Could you go to
edge://settings/helpand let me know the exact version number of Edge you are currently running?
If you have a moment, you might try signing out of your Microsoft account in Edge and signing back in. Occasionally, the authentication token used by Copilot gets "stuck" during a browser update, resulting in that empty UI. Additionally, I recommend clearing your browser cache, as stale data from a previous update often causes these interface glitches. To do this, go to Settings > Privacy, search, and services, and under Clear browsing data, select Cookies and Cached images for "All time."
I'm looking forward to your reply so we can get this back up and running for you.
