Which version of Office is this? Usually, you activate by signing in.

Note that if your computer included a trial version of Microsoft 365 Family and you ordered another version, it is best to uninstall the preinstalled version before you install and activate the correct product.

If you have paid for Office and are unable to access Word because it is asking for a product key, it is likely that your Office purchase is linked to your Microsoft account rather than requiring a separate product key. Here are steps you can take to resolve the issue:

    1. Sign in to your Microsoft account: Go to the Microsoft account services page and sign in using the account you used to purchase Office.
    2. Check your subscriptions: Once signed in, look for your Office subscription under the "Services & subscriptions" section. Ensure that your Office product is listed there.
    3. Install Office: If your Office product is listed, you can download and install it from there. Click on "Install" next to your Office product.
    4. Activate Office: After installation, open Word and sign in with the same Microsoft account. This should activate your Office without needing a product key.

If you still encounter issues, consider checking if there are any updates or repairs needed for your Office installation. You can also refer to the Microsoft support documentation for further assistance.
