    Hi @Rich Britton

Thanks for reaching out to the Microsoft Q&A forum.

Based on your description, it looks like you are referring to the Teams Meetings button in Outlook on the web or the new Outlook desktop app, as shown in the image below, which is currently greyed out.

To better understand the situation, may I ask which Microsoft 365 subscription and Teams license are assigned to the affected account?

At the moment, the Teams Meeting add-in is only available for Microsoft 365 Business‑tier subscriptions.

If the user already has the correct Microsoft 365 Business plan and a valid Teams license assigned, the next step is to review the meeting policy applied to the account.

You can verify this in the Microsoft Teams admin center by checking the meeting policy applied to the affected account through this link: Meeting policies - Microsoft Teams admin center and confirming that both Private meeting scheduling and the Outlook add-in options are enabled.

If the meeting bar is greyed out in Outlook, it may be due to several reasons related to your account settings or permissions. Here are a few things you can check:

    1. Outlook Add-in Settings: Ensure that the Teams add-in for Outlook is enabled. If the admin has turned off the setting that allows scheduling Teams meetings from Outlook, the option will not be available.
    2. Account Permissions: Verify that your account has the necessary permissions to schedule meetings. If you are using a client email address, it might have restrictions that prevent scheduling.
    3. Outlook Version: Make sure you are using a compatible version of Outlook that supports the Teams add-in. Sometimes, using an outdated version can cause features to be disabled.
    4. Network Connection: Ensure that you have a stable internet connection, as connectivity issues can also affect the functionality of the Teams add-in.

If these checks do not resolve the issue, you may need to contact your IT support for further assistance.
