I have been chatting with someone for 30 minutes and they just redirected me here. I got an email stating, my one drive account may be deleted. I am trying to update it but apparently my account is listed as a child so I can't update it. I only have this email address (@gmail.com). My wife's email address is (@gmail.com). I dont know if she's the family admin and she's not here but i need help asap getting in so I don't lose my account. Please help

Hello, thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A.

The email you received about your OneDrive account being deleted is likely a spam or phishing message. Microsoft does not delete OneDrive accounts that are actively in use.

Your account may be deleted only if you have not signed in for more than two years, or if you submit an account closure request. If neither of these situations applies to you, your account will not be closed.

I recommend treating that email with caution. You can search online for the email subject line or specific wording from the message to see if others have reported the same email as spam or phishing.

If you are still concerned, do not click any links in the email. Instead, go directly to https://onedrive.live.com/ or https://account.microsoft.com/ and sign in there to check your account status securely.

    To know the family organizer,

Sign in with your Microsoft account on the link below.

    https://account.microsoft.com/family/home

    • Check whether her account is listed as the Organizer for your family group.
    • If so, you will need to contact her to update the D.O.B. in your Microsoft account to switch from a child account to an adult account.

I already talked to Microsoft SUpport and they can't help and sentme here. Can you see the account and just tell what the email address is as the parent? I can figure out the password from there.
