To resolve the issue with Microsoft Word showing the error message "We are sorry, but Word has run into an error that is preventing it from working correctly," you can follow these steps:

    1. Exit all Office applications: Make sure that all instances of Word and other Office applications are closed.
    2. Run an Online Repair: Go to the Settings app on your Windows device:
      • Click on the gear icon (Settings) in the Start Menu.
      • Navigate to Apps and find Microsoft Office in the list.
      • Select it and choose Modify, then opt for Online Repair. This process is more thorough than the quick repair option and may resolve the issue.
    3. Reinstall Office: If the Online Repair does not work, consider uninstalling Office completely. After uninstalling, restart your PC (do not shut down) and then reinstall Office from your Microsoft account at account.microsoft.com/services.

These steps should help you fix the error and get Word working again.
