Hi. I'm David, and I'm happy to help you.
It appears that drivers are missing for some essential devices. Installing these drivers might allow Windows to recognize the fingerprint reader.
I suggest doing the following:
- Go to the HP website using the link below, download the drivers indicated, and install them.
https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/hp-elitebook-830-g6-notebook-pc/26609813
Driver names: "Intel Chipset Installation Utility" and "Intel Serial IO Driver".
(You will need to expand the "Driver-Chipset" category to find the mentioned drivers.)
(Run the downloaded EXE file and follow the on-screen instructions to install the driver. Do this for each driver.)
- I noticed that the laptop BIOS is outdated. I suggest you update it by following HP's instructions. Since you are installing the latest drivers, it is recommended to also have an updated BIOS to avoid compatibility issues.
After installing the suggested drivers and updating the BIOS, check if the fingerprint reader is recognized by the system.
If the problem persists, please let me know.
Feel free to ask any questions you may have.
