Welcome to Microsoft Q&A!
I understand how upsetting this is, especially when an update suddenly blocks access to your own PC. However, I need to clear up a few things first:
- Windows does NOT auto‑generate a password on its own in any cases.
- Windows 11 natively requires a Microsoft account and password/PIN.
- If you use a local account, this can be a password previously added.
1 - Recheck your Microsoft account
- On the sign‑in screen, look at the username.
- If it looks like an email address, it is a Microsoft account.
- If you forgot password > Recover your account with another device
- After resetting, restart the PC and sign in with the new password.
2 - Try other sign‑in options (if possible)
- On the sign‑in screen, select Sign‑in options.
- Look for PIN, password, or picture password icons.
- Try the other methods if you ever set one.
3 - If the account name is not an email but local account
- Enter any wrong password once.
- Select Reset password when it appears.
- Follow the instructions to confirm and reset password.
I know it’s frustrating not reaching a person, but password recovery is a security‑locked process and cannot be overridden. Let me know your account type and what exactly the sign‑in screen looks like so I can better help with this.
