less than a year ago, some 'nice' person or persons hijacked my email "******@hotmail.com" wanting $$$ to give back, i told them to "go pack sand".....i would really like to get my email address back and proceed from there. This has cost me a great deal of anguish and MONEY, as i lost business along the way. I have tried, to no avail, to use the question and answer method that microsoft asks for...have never gotten back my email...PLEASE HELP ME !!!!!!!!!!

Thanks

Hey there! Nice to meet you!

I'm sorry you are experiencing this.

The only way to recover a hacked account is through the official Microsoft troubleshooter guide:

    https://support.microsoft.com/account-billing/how-to-recover-a-hacked-or-compromised-microsoft-account-24ca907d-bcdf-a44b-4656-47f0cd89c245

If the account recovery web form doesn't work, and if the security info has been replaced by the hacker, I'm afraid there is no other working method to recover the Microsoft account, and Microsoft Support cannot help either.

    Thank you for your understanding.

    Best regards,

    Darhyl

I'm sorry to hear about your situation. Unfortunately, if your email address has been hijacked and you are unable to recover it through the standard methods provided by Microsoft, it may be challenging to regain access. Here are some steps you can consider:

    1. Use the Microsoft Account Recovery Form: If you haven't already, try using the official Microsoft account recovery form. Make sure to provide as much information as possible to verify your identity.
    2. Contact Microsoft Support: If the recovery form does not work, your best option may be to reach out to Microsoft Support directly. They may have additional methods to verify your identity and assist you in recovering your account.
    3. Check for Security Breaches: Ensure that your other accounts are secure and check for any unauthorized activity. It might be beneficial to change passwords for other accounts linked to your email.
    4. Monitor for Phishing Attempts: Be cautious of any further phishing attempts or scams related to your email address.

Unfortunately, if the account recovery methods do not yield results, it may be difficult to retrieve the email address, especially if it has been permanently deleted or if the security information has been altered by the hijacker.
