Hello, I was charged for a Microsoft 365 monthly subscription by mistake. I would like to cancel the subscription and request a refund for the most recent charge. Please let me know if I am eligible and help me process the refund. Thank you.

    Hi, happy to help here.

For all charges, sign in using the same Microsoft account linked to your payment method through this link: https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=2246882

After you sign in, find the Microsoft 365 subscription, select Manage, then choose Cancel. If the charge is eligible under Microsoft’s refund policy, you will see an option to request a refund or Investigate charge. Submit the request there. The Microsoft billing team will review the payment and contact you by email if a refund is approved or if more details are needed.

To request a refund for a Microsoft 365 monthly subscription charge, you need to determine if you are eligible for a refund based on the timing of your cancellation. If you cancel your subscription within seven days of the charge, you may receive a prorated refund. After this period, you can still cancel the subscription to prevent future charges but may not be eligible for a refund for the most recent charge.

To process your refund, follow these steps:

    1. Check your subscription: Ensure you can access your account to cancel the subscription.
    2. Request a refund: You can check if your transaction is eligible for a refund through the Microsoft support page for refunds: How to get a refund on a Microsoft subscription.
    3. Contact Microsoft Support: If you need further assistance, you can contact Microsoft Support directly for help with your billing issue.

Make sure to provide them with the necessary details regarding your subscription and the charge in question.
