Your online instructions for product activation are incorrect

I need to install my previously purchased Office 2016 product on my MacBook because Office 365 does not work on Mac OS Ventura, which is the most recent Mac OS supported on my 2017 MacBook. Office 365 needs Sonoma and newer. Your activation instructions for Office 2016 (see attached) are incorrect and do not work. I need help activating Office 2016.

Have you redeemed your Office 2016 before? if you have then here is how you can activate your product.

First let confirm Office 2016 is tied to your Microsoft account

You must sign in to the same Microsoft account used when you originally redeemed the key.

• Go to https://account.microsoft.com/services
• Sign in
• Look for Office 2016 for Mac listed under Services & subscriptions

If it’s listed there, your license is valid and reusable

Next let download the Office 2016 Mac installer to your device, from Services & subscriptions:

• Click Install
• Download the .pkg installer

After you have installed Office 2016 on your device:

• Open Microsoft Word
• When prompted, sign in using the same Microsoft account that has Office 2016

The activation will complete automatically.
