A family of Microsoft word processing software products for creating web, email, and print documents.
Hi,
Thank you for sharing your question. I understand how confusing it can feel when you’ve downloaded photos from your iPhone but don’t yet see how to place them into their own folder in your gallery. It’s completely normal to want a simple way to organize new photos so they appear neatly inside the Windows Photos app.
The reason this happens is that the Photos app only shows folders you’ve already added to its library, so even if you copy photos into a new folder on your PC, the app won’t display it until you add that folder to the Photos app’s “Folders” section. Once you add it, you can continue placing new photos from your iPhone into that same folder and they’ll appear automatically.
To resolve this, open the Photos app, select Folders in the left pane, and choose Add folder. Then select the folder where you stored your imported iPhone photos or create a new one and select it. After that, your gallery will display the folder and you can add new photos to it anytime.
Before we move on, are you importing your photos using the Windows Photos app, File Explorer, or another method? Knowing that will help me guide you more precisely.
Feel free to follow up and I’ll walk you through the next steps.
I hope this helps.
Best Regards,
Noel
