My E5 Developer account is abnormal and I cannot log in normally.

When I was calling Azure API as usual, several exceptions occurred.

This made me suspect there was a misconfiguration in my Azure application, so I went to portal.azure.com to log in to my E5 admin account. However, I received an error: This username may be incorrect. Make sure you’ve typed it correctly. Otherwise, contact your administrator.

I thought my subscription might have expired, so I checked the renewal status in the Developer Dashboard. What shocked me more was that my Microsoft account was being maliciously redirected to emails from the domain <PII: Moderator removed>. I immediately took emergency steps to restore my Microsoft account to normal.

I thought that was the end of it, but my account still cannot log in, even though the dashboard shows I still have remaining time.

This is the first time I’ve encountered this issue in my 2 years of using E5 Developer. I tried searching for information about the corresponding account in emails, but found no clues at all — the problem appeared out of nowhere.

My top priorities now: Regain access to my account and Azure portal. Review my application configurations. Understand what caused this problem, so I can handle it calmly later without affecting my development efficiency (or my mood).

I would be extremely grateful if this issue can be resolved. If you cannot solve it here, please guide me: Where should I go for further help? How can I quickly rebuild my profile so my development is not interrupted?

By the way, Custom domain: <PII: Moderator removed> The corresponding onmicrosoft.com subdomain: <PII: Moderator removed>

Thank you very much.

    Dear @哲 赵,

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A Forum!

I wanted to share an update on the sign‑in issue you’re experiencing with your Microsoft 365 E5 Developer tenant.

Based on your descriptions and my research, this issue may not cause by an incorrect username, password, browser cache, or an expired subscription. Microsoft may identify this behavior as a tenant‑level security enforcement issue affecting some E5 Developer Program tenants.

In this case, the Developer Dashboard may still show the subscription as Active with remaining days, but administrator sign‑in is blocked across all portals (Azure Portal, Microsoft 365 Admin Center, etc.).

Because this is a system‑level condition, it unfortunately cannot be resolved through self‑troubleshooting. Password resets, private/incognito browsing, or configuration changes will not restore access. Also, as a Microsoft Q&A moderator, my role is to guide discussions and connect users with helpful resources. While I don’t have the right to access to individual account or your environment in order to help you further. However, I still try my best to support you using the resources available. So, please contact Microsoft 365 Developer Support so they can investigate and take corrective action (such as restoring access or advising on tenant recovery):

Welcome to Microsoft Support for business

Please note that this is a paid support ticket, which means it requires an active support plan or a one-time support purchase. However, the benefit of using this channel is that your inquiry will be routed directly to the Microsoft Product Group responsible for the specific service or feature in question. This team includes engineers and developers who work on the product itself, so they are best positioned to provide accurate, in-depth, and authoritative answers especially for complex or edge-case scenarios that go beyond publicly available documentation or community knowledge.

When submitting the support request, please include:

    • Your Developer Program tenant name (the *.onmicrosoft.com domain)
    • Confirmation that the subscription shows Active in the Developer Dashboard
    • The exact sign‑in error message
    • The approximate date when the issue started

I hope this information can help you and please let me know how things go on your side as your update can also assist others in the community who may be facing the same issue.
