If you have lost access to your Microsoft Authenticator app and cannot generate codes, you will need to reset your Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) settings. Here are the steps you can take:

    1. Contact an Administrator: If you are not the only administrator for your Microsoft Entra ID, you will need to ask another administrator to reset your MFA settings. They can do this by signing into the Azure portal and managing your user settings.
    2. Reset MFA: The administrator can follow these steps:
      • Sign in to the Azure portal.
      • Navigate to Microsoft Entra ID > Users.
      • Select your user account.
      • In the Authentication methods section, choose Require re-register multifactor authentication. This will reset your MFA settings and allow you to set them up again on your new device.
    3. Re-register Authenticator: After the reset, you will be able to re-register the Microsoft Authenticator app on your new phone and set up your MFA methods again.

If you are the sole Global Administrator and cannot access your account, you may need to contact Microsoft Support directly for assistance with resetting your MFA settings.
