I am currently locked out of a secondary email account. I have tried the recovery form multiple times with no luck. I apparently can't remember my password, which unfortunately is the only password the account has ever had (account not used very often..)Extremely frustrated and hoping I do not lose the information I forwarded from my personal email to this email for coaching purposes. This email is new enough it has also never sent out an email as of yet either, therefore causing issues again with the recovery form. I am at a loss as to what else to do as I have failed at finding any type of live chat, or email to contact someone to help me out.

Hey there! Nice to meet you!

If you do not have any linked verification methods for a password reset, I'm afraid the only way to verify/unblock the account is through the account recovery web form: https://account.live.com/acsr

Important: If you have an active 2FA, ACSR will inform you that your recovery request will be ignored. If you only receive a message that the recovery request is either successful or indicates insufficient information, this means that 2FA is disabled.

You'll need to keep trying until you're verified by Microsoft, and you can do this up to 2 times every 24 hours.

If your Microsoft account recovery request was not granted, please review this link for tips on improving your chances of a successful recovery: https://support.microsoft.com/office/dc56c3e3-dff0-4ed5-8edb-60290eea6b53

Please be advised that Microsoft Support will not be able to assist you with manual recovery, unblock, and escalation for this case, as stated in this article, that they are not permitted to send password resets, access, or even change any details on the account:

    Thank you for your understanding.

    Best regards,

    Darhyl

To regain access to your locked email account, you should follow these steps:

    1. Use the Official Recovery Form: Since you mentioned that you have already tried the recovery form multiple times, ensure you are entering accurate information. The recovery form can be accessed at Microsoft's account recovery page. Make sure to provide as much detail as possible about your account, such as any previous passwords, contacts, or email subjects.
    2. Check Recovery Options: If you have set up any recovery options (like a backup email or phone number), ensure you have access to them. This can help in receiving verification codes.
    3. Wait for Lockout Period: If you have reached the limit for recovery attempts, you may need to wait for a cooldown period (usually about 24 hours) before trying again. Avoid further attempts during this time as it can reset the cooldown.
    4. Contact Microsoft Support: If the recovery form does not work, you can try to contact Microsoft Support directly. You can do this by visiting the support page and selecting options related to account recovery. Depending on your region, you may be offered chat support or a callback option.
    5. Use a Familiar Device: When attempting the recovery form, use a device and location that you have previously used to access the account, as this can help in verifying your identity.
    6. Be Persistent: If you continue to face issues, it may take time and multiple attempts to successfully recover your account. Keep trying to provide as much accurate information as possible.

Unfortunately, without access to the account or the ability to recall the password, your options are limited to the automated recovery process.
