Microsoft Forms “Unexpected error occurred” when accessing dashboard, but responses still submitting

I am experiencing a persistent issue in Microsoft Forms where the dashboard will not load.

I am seeing two different error messages:

  1. On the main Forms homepage: “We’re having trouble getting your documents. Please try again later.”
  2. When attempting to open specific forms: “Unexpected error occurred. Reload page and try again, contact support if error persists.”

Important context:

Forms were successfully created prior to this issue.

Survey links remain active and responses are still submitting successfully.

The issue only affects accessing the Forms dashboard (Recent / My forms / Responses).

Hard refresh, incognito mode, alternate browser, and re-login attempts did not resolve the issue.

Other Microsoft 365 services appear to be functioning normally.

This appears to be a backend dashboard or document retrieval issue rather than data loss.

Has anyone encountered this scenario where Forms responses continue collecting but the dashboard cannot be accessed?

Is this typically related to SharePoint/OneDrive backend sync or a temporary service degradation?

Any guidance would be appreciated.I am experiencing a persistent issue in Microsoft Forms where the dashboard will not load.

    Dear @Lugo, Joaquin,

Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Q&A forum. I’m happy to assist you.

Could you please try signing in to your account using the Microsoft Forms desktop app? You can download it from the Microsoft Store or via the link below:

Microsoft Forms – Free download and install on Windows | Microsoft Store

After installing the app, please sign in and check whether you are able to access the Forms dashboard successfully.

This issue may be related to a temporary server-side problem. In the meantime, I recommend waiting for a short period and then clearing your browser’s cache before trying again. Additionally, please try accessing Microsoft Forms from another device, such as your mobile phone, using both the app and a web browser, to see whether the issue persists.

Please note that, as a forum moderator, my role is limited to providing general guidance and troubleshooting suggestions. I do not have access to user accounts, tenant settings, or backend systems. If the issue continues after trying the steps above, I recommend contacting Microsoft Support, as they have the necessary tools and permissions to perform a deeper investigation.

If you are using a work/school account:

The Global Admin can create a support ticket by sign in to the Microsoft 365 Admin Center > Support > Help & Support.

For detailed instructions on how to get support, please refer to Get support - Microsoft 365 admin.

Note: If you’re an end-user, please coordinate with your Office 365 Global Administrator to handle these steps.

If you are using a personal account, please follow the steps below:

Go to Contact Us and sign in with any personal account.

Select Microsoft 365 > choose Get Home Support.

Follow the instructions to submit a ticket so the Microsoft Support agent can help you regain your access.

I hope this information is helpful. If you need any further assistance, please feel free to reach out. I am here to help. Thank you very much for your understanding and cooperation.
